We are expecting our first grandchild soon and I’ve been “in grandma mode” for quite some time. I hand smocked two day gowns (took sixty hours) and a matching blanket with a hand crocheted edge (took two months) and a passel of burp pads. My dear friend Lynne Brann made blankets and burp pads too. Bless her heart for being such a good friend! I’ve also been canning for most of the summer—250+ jars and still at it.
