Enjoy my winter wonderland photos from the January 6-7, 2017 blizzard. We received approximately 7-8 inches.
We had cabin fever so we took a ride to check out the roads. Some are clear and some are not. It will take some time for all of the snow to melt.
A Christmas tree farm.
An amazing fence.
I have always loved this old chimney. It made me sad when the old home place was torn down.
My great great grandparents lived in the home with a store and post office next door, at the top of photo. The building at the bottom of photo is an old gristmill.
Creek running next to gristmill in above photo.
Trees close to the creek and gristmill.
Sign in our yard.
Our home from a distance.
It finally quit snowing!
This is our back door. The drift is about two feet deep. We can’t get the door open.
Our snow plow angel (a really good neighbor) plowed our long driveway. We try to pay him but he says, “If you pay me, I can’t shovel it.” So he gets apple pie, butterscotch oatmeal nut cookies, home canned green beans, and homemade wineberry jelly instead. He lives with his dad and they always like my home cooked goodies. Before and after shoveling our drive, he does everyone else’s driveway too! Amazing.
Shoveling the garage so we can get the car out.
Winter snowscape behind our house.
Lawn furniture on the back deck.
Our steps in the back are burried.
