Our daughter is getting married. Being a seamstress, with a background in English hand smocking and French hand sewing, I always said she has three choices when it came to a wedding gown: she can wear mine, I can make her one, or we can buy one.
She recently tried on my wedding gown and it was a lot of fun reminiscing about our wedding.
I have been shopping at Schoolhouse Fabrics and looking at their selection on the “wedding floor”. They have an incredible selection of bridal gown fabric, satin and tulle.
An entire wall of motifs to choose from. This photo shows about one third of the wall.
There is a grand selection of pearl and lace trims.
Bolts and bolts of bridal fabrics.
My favorite fabric is the one on the right.
Time will tell whether she chooses to wear my dress, wants me to make one for her or buy a wedding gown.
